Why Maintenance Is Needed
Cast stone is an incredibly strong and durable material, known for its beauty and endurance, enhancing both buildings and landscapes. However, like any building material, cast stone requires care to maintain their appearance and longevity.
Cast Stone is a significant architectural investment. Without routine maintenance, even the highest-quality cast stone can deteriorate with time, due to environmental wear, cracking, and water damage.
Professional maintenance and waterproofing not only protects your property but also enhances its long-term value and appearance.
How often should I clean my cast stone? Don’t forget! Like regular stone, cast stone should have a good thorough clean every 5-6 years.
PROTECT THE BEAUTY. PROTECT THE VALUE. EXTEND THE LIFE

Why Maintenance Matters
Preserves Appearance: Prevents staining, discoloration, and surface damage to keep your cast stone looking elegant.
Prevent Costly Repairs: Early maintenance prevents cracks and moisture damage that lead to expensive restoration.
Enhances Durability: Waterproofing prevents freeze-thaw cycles, efflorescence, and long-term water damage.
Extends Lifespan: With proper care, cast stone can retain its structural and aesthetic value for decade with minimal maintenance needs.
Efflorescence? No worries!
Efflorescence is a temporary phenomenon which will not impair the performance of the cast stone product in respect of its durability or strength.
Given time, when subject to normal weathering, the efflorescence will diminish and eventually disappear completely. The risk of occurrence of efflorescence will be reduced by protection on site before and during installation.
It is better to allow the phenomenon to disappear through the weathering process. It can also be removed by cleaning the cast stone with specific cleaning agents.
What NOT to do
The use of strong acid cleaners should be avoided on cast stone materials. Contamination due to cleaning of higher courses of brick or other materials should be avoided. Oil and grease can be removed by using a chemical degreaser. All treatments should be done by a professional cast stone specialist.
Don’t use acidic cleaners like vinegar or other acid
Never pressure-wash the surface
Don’t ignore cracks or moss buildup
